AbstractThe Building Together Project is a low-cost housing project in Bangkok. This housing project is a form of self-help housing project where the owners, grouped into a cluster of 8 to 20, cooperate t o construct their own houses. The initial schedule was to complete the house construction for 0ne cluster ( the total project consisting of 11 clusters) in 6 months. But it was found that the actual construction for two of the clusters took 10 months. A new schedule is needed to reduce the above construction time. This study aimed at developing a detailed schedule for the above project so that the actual construction time would be reduced. CPM models were developed and using the PROJACS package, the models were analyzed. Resource leveling by trial and error was applied to one of the models. The results obtained indicate that CPM could be useful for detailed scheduling of this .project ; and the PROJACS package could help in the more efficient daily monitoring of the construction activities.
