Abstract | Food safety was rising over year due to the impact of consumer awareness on health within both domestic and international market. Recently, Thai durian had dramatically increase higher consumption, this leading to improper use of chemical substances and early post harvest production. Although, the durians production has significantly increased in export, Thailand still is facing with the issue in quality control of pests and disease reducing amount of production. In addition, the number of adoption farmer of good agricultural practices has minimum total and not widely adopted. Therefore, Thailand government is response to support and promoting durian farmer for food crop program thought good agricultural practices in order to produce safety and quality to meet standard of export. The purpose of this research was to study factors that influencing the farmer to adoption of good agricultural practices. The controlled group in the study was people who did durian farming in Chumphon. There were 200 samples chosen from convenient sampling and purposive sampling method interview by stricter of questionnaires. The data was statistically analyzed by the weigh average index, binary logit regression model and tobit regression model. Finding of this research revealed with demographic, economic and socialization had significant influenced the adoption GAP of durian farmer. Moreover, the perception between adoption GAP farmer and non-adoption farmer was different because lack of knowledge and limitation services from extension officer. |
