AbstractNowadays, consumers have changed their shopping behavior to realize more comfort and to update their lifestyle. The emergence of e-commerce emphasized this move as technology creates the ability to forge further interactions more effectively and efficiently. The objective of this study is to critical review the recent trend of e-commerce on agribusiness products in Indonesia, identify the factors affecting consumers’ behavior to buy online or not buy online for agribusiness products, identify the most interesting agribusiness products on e commerce, and identify the popular e-commerce websites in agribusiness. Consumer behavior to shop online for agricultural commodities is found to be affected by location, recognition, information, trust, security, and availability. These factors increase the probability of individuals to engage e-commerce for agribusiness. On the other hand, social environment is also significantly affecting consumers to buy online, but it reduces their buying. Other external factors such as access, evaluation, decision, post-purchase, products, price, place, promotion, convenience, websites attributes, financial risk, and return policy are not found significant. Also, some demographic factors such as gender, age, education, marital status, occupation, income are not seen as important. The agribusiness e-commerce sector in Indonesia is at early stage of development compared to other developing countries. Increasing the coordination and interaction of stakeholders from the central level to the district, particularly among technical institutions, research and development and extension services in support of the application of advanced technology will undoubtedly be helpful.
