AbstractThis study was concerned with the travel time of cars in Bangkok. The report consists oi two ma in part s . In the first part a framework for assessment is proposed , the terms are detinned , previous studies are introduced , a description of the survey technique is given, a nd the data employed for analysis is introduced . The second part contains results in terms of times associated with car travel. Primary interest centered on two features of the operation: the mean values of car journey times and variations in these times. These are obviously important from t he point of view of car passengers. The ways in which these affect the route as a whole are discussed . Many of the findings of traffic condition in Bangkok are related to the varications in the component s of the Journey . Before and after survey show the travel time and the reliability was improved after introducing ATC schemes. The findings also emphasize the importance of these variations in assessing the reliability of the data obtained for a route.
