| Abstract | The Zonal Improvement Pro gram (ZIP) of the National
Housing Authority of the Philippines exhibits the relevance of investment of non-monetary resources to reinforce the function of housing as a source of social and economic
security. This means that decision making are in accordance with the beneficiaries needs and priorities, enabling them to make investment in housing which synchronizes with the
availability or community facilities and services , and in
congruence with economics and social changes . Housing consolidation which is either dwellings of strong or light materials, specific unction of rooms and relatively highs or iow market value are affected by
variables as tallows: housing input, hope for owner ship or
leasehold , location and age of the settlement , years of
residence and household income
Levels of housing improvement are higher in ZIP areas and
the aforementioned variables are affected differently in
settlements where the program is implemented . |
