| Abstract | This study is based mainly on a qualitative study of factors
affecting a group formation and factors that enhance the
continuity of the group of Pathum Pattana Coop . Ltd., Chanywat Phrae, Thailand.
Two groups of samples were set according to the stage in
Joining the cooperative which are the group of the initiators and the followers. data was obtained by means of individual
interviews, participating observation and also related
literature. The analysis was done through the theoretical and
conceptual framework of 'group dynamics'.
Results of the finding were apparent that the factors
affecting the group formation are: 1) an organizing process
consisting of the organizers, their roles and functions, the
educational process; and 2) the interpersonal relations in which
a network of friends and Kin exist.
When analyzing the factors that enhance the continuity of
the group, the results indicate that the interpersonal relations
and group competence as a problem-solving mechanism in which the committee members of the cooperative play the important roles or leadership, are the essential factors.
In addition the three essential factors (the organizing process, interpersonal relations and group competence) are centered in the group of the initiators than the group of the followers. |
