Abstract | The study surveys 990 disbursed contracts during the period 2020 ~ 2022 of Chailease International Leasing Company Ltd to find out the reasons for the recently increasing new delinquency ratio. It is found that (i) the current credit scoring system still proves the efficiency of risk evaluation that credit ratings R6 and R7 get the highest PDs within the observation time in comparison with other credit ratings; (ii) six key factors of credit scoring play of important role to identify new delinquency potentially with violation of three factors and above; (iii) verifying customer source is crucial to avoid serious defaults which are suspected to get a referral from credit broker; (iv) collateral amount of leased asset does not impact incentive to avoid new delinquency. |
