AbstractThis study encompasses the evaluation of cost and labour for different methods of construction in Sri Lanka. The operations considered herein are, Brick Handling and Laying, Concreting and Concrete Formwork. The existing methods of construction as well as the suitable alternative suggested are described in detail. The cost of each operation is calculated for the two different methods. A comparison is made between construction costs and labour requirement of the methods.
