| Abstract | The “Green Office” has been a popular concept to business from over the world, especially in developed countries such as Japan, United State and European Countries. The benefits of “Green Office” bring to businesses are been collected and proven by many multi international companies such as Google and Facebook and this trend is going to increase in the future as well as in Vietnam. In 2007, although “Green Office” concept was brought in Vietnam by WWF, but the program was still new and not fully accepted to business at that time because of economic crisis Due to strong increase in globalization in Vietnam and higher living standards, the “Green” concept has entered to Vietnamese mind and people started to aware more about the important of protecting environment, and saving energy not only to reduce climate change but also to protect themselves in the last few years. Moreover, Vietnam government had already signed many agreements related to environment and commitment about mitigation of greenhouse gas and reducing climate change. Thus, “green” status has become more popular in Vietnam and to Vietnamese people, especially in big cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. More and more businesses, both international and domestic bands, tend to head their concept to get green to catch this new trend and to build “friendly” brands to Vietnamese consumers. However, until now, most businesses in Vietnam still have not had full understanding about applying “green” into their business due to lacking knowledge and no standards or not much information available in the market. For this reason, research about the businesses perception in going green in office, especially their knowledge about “Green Office” model and how they implement it. This report was conducted successful “Green Office” concept from over the world, the performance of “Green Office” in Vietnam, level awareness of businesses about Green Office and a successful case study of a company in Vietnam. |
