Abstract | The purposes of this research are: (1) Determining and evaluating factors which influence to the extent of employee’s motivation; (2) Assessing the important level of motivation factors, which suggest policies to enhance the motivational level in Petro Vietnam Steel Pipe Joint Stock Company (‘PVPipe’). The research model includes 7 items. Qualitative research was undertaken to adjust and supplement observation variables for scales. Quantitative research employed Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), correlation analysis and regression analysis on samples of 160 employees working in PVPipe in order to evaluate the scales and research model. Software IBM SPSS Statistics 20.0 has been employed to analyse data.Research results show that motivation scales of employee achieve sufficient reliability and validity, which consist of six components: (1) Income and Welfare; (2) Brand and Corporate Culture; (3) Interesting and Challenging Job; (4) Human resource development program (HRD); (5) Colleagues; (6) Leadership in which 31 observed variables confirmed the validity and reliability. Of these, the two first factors are considered most important for the motivation of staff. Research results indicate that “Brand and Corporate Culture” also influence to employees’ work motivation. This also contributes to literature on motivating employees which is applying in PVPipe. |
