AbstractThis research work presents an integrated procedure for network analysis associated with uncertain activity duration. This procedure utilizes the Monte Carlo simulation and the critical path method, Such integration provides information on the variability of project durations and its distribution for the purpose of quantifying the risk of determining the target date of a project work. Most network simulations make use of activity durations as the random variable of the statistical distribution. This research uses two categories of variables: the rate of work and the variation of the rate of work. The distributions are found from historical data of the irrigation projects. This research is extended to the application of newly-developed concepts of criticality index and of overrunning probability curve.
