Abstract | This study deals with an analytical and experimental investigation of the tensile property and post-cracking behavior of steel fiber rein forced cement mortar composite. Two types of fiber arrangements are studied. These are continuous uniformly aligned fibers and randomly oriented short fibers. Both types of composite have been investigated experimentally to check the validity of the proposed theory. Established expressions for the determination of tensile property are verified and expressions for the prediction of crack spacing and crack width are derived. The parameters influencing the latter two values are identified and discussed. |
