| Abstract | This thesis presents a study of traffic flow on Memorial
Bridge, Bangkok. In Chapters 2, 3 and 4 analyses of the individual operating elements of traffic flow on Memorial Bridge are
given. These elements are volume, speed, and headway for both
directions of flow Dhonburi-to-Bangkok and Bangkok-to-Dhonburi.
Comparison is made of these basic characteristics of traffic by
direction of flow on the bridge.
In Chapter 5 some selected mathematical models, which
describe the traffic behavior of signle-lane no-passing flow
were discussed. This analysis was undertaken to test the validity of the selected models. However, in order to obtain a fuller
description of the behavior of single-lane flow, a new parameter
was introduced in the model by the author’s modification. |
