AbstractThis study concerns a design of control charts for micro porous rubber separator process, using existing process in The Battery Organization of Thailand as a case study. The study includes investigation on separator producing process in The Organization. In designing control charts, the classical control charts are implemented to each considered step of the process. Economic models are proposed to obtain optimal parameters, i .e., sample size, sampling interval and spread of control limits, through a computer enumeration. From the study, comparisons between classical control charts and its corresponding economic models are made. Sampling and inspection procedures for each control point are also present.
