| Abstract | The housing policies of many of the developing countries fail for one reason or the other, Many of these policies ignore what people need, neglect the peoples resources and totally rely on the government resources. The bureaucrats and the people both are busy in solving the housing problem of the modern society, But both of them have their own ways depending on their resources and abilities, The delivery system - a system which provides day to day solution to the housing problem{ approach is very recent one. The main objective of this study is to identify the main components of the low income housing delivery system in Bombay, the reasons for their emergence, institutional set up, Government involvement etc. The low income housing delivery system of Bombay consists of seven sub systems and their sub types. The information furnished by this study will help the policy makers in forming successful housing policies. |
