| Abstract | The structural design and analysis of a 25,000-spectator capacity reinforced concrete grandstand is presented. The design of the structural members was based on the American Concrete Institute Building Code. The matrix method was used for the analysis of the superstructure. The grandstand is covered with a cantilever cylindrical shell roof. Service facilities are located at the ground level. Schematic architectural and structural drawings, quantities, and cost estimates are presented in this thesis. Detailed architectural and structural drawings and the structural design and analysis notes are on file in the School. |
