| Abstract | This is an investigative research on the "Low-income Housing Delivery system in Manila, Philippines". The study was aimed at uncovering the various ways of acquiring housing by the low-income people in Manila. Socio-economic and physical characteristics of each different types of housing and settlements were critically analyzed. Attempts were made to identify the possible situations where improvement in housing condition and provision of basic amenities and services could be achieved through proper utilization of limited resources. Field survey was conducted to identify these situations. In addition to the identification of low-income housing delivery system in Mani la, a critical Analysis of the Government Housing policy was made and tentative suggestions were given to improve upon the situation. |
