NoteCaption: HRH Princess Mahachakri Sirindhon toured AIT's Regional Computer Center (RCC) on December 11, 1978 and was welcomed by AIT President Robert B. Banks, Vice President and Provost Dr Shi-igai and RCC Director Dr J.A. Kearns. The RCC is housed in a new, specially designed 3300 square meter building with full facilities. The main computer is an IBM System/370 Model on loan from IBM. Princess Sirindhon, during the tour of the RCC showed keen interest in the functions of the RCC and commented, "It's too late for me to learn computer now." The Princess is presently pursuing a Master's degree in Archaeology at Silpakorn University
