NoteCaption: His Majesty King Bhumipol of Thailand granted an audience to AIT President, Vice President, for Development, Vice President and Provost and eight recipients of the King's Scholarship award of the Royal Thai Government on October 21, 1978 at Chitlada Palace. The group was presented by Secretary-General of the National Education Commission (NEC) Dr Sippanondha Ketudat (far left). The eight King's scholars are: one from Macao, one from Afghanistan one from Bangladesh and five from Thailand. The King's Scholarship Program commenced in 1970 and will be increased to 15 scholarships next academic year.
