| Abstract | A compact random model for the computer simulation of daily totals of solar radiation and hourly solar radiation fluxes is described. It is based on detailed studies of insolation data for Thailand and is expected to be applicable over the entire South-East Asian peninsula. Provision is made for the separation of the solar radiation fluxes into their direct and diffuse components. The Report includes a general discussion of solar radiation reaching the ground in the tropics, a complete set of data for Thailand, and full details of the computer programs in APL and FORTRAN. |
