| Abstract | ydropower development and road construction in Nepal has been taking place in full phase. The most uncertain and expensive work in in development is underground structures which are construction day by day. The most challenging underground structure problem in Nepal is excessive deformation due to Nepal having young mountain and high overburden. From the ground behavior graph also, we can observe tunnel need to release the energy which is generally in deformation therefore to understand the mechanism of deformation is must in order to exclude the future over cost and over run time.Secondly not only the deformation nature but also to improve rock mass parameter which can be easily observed in already excavated tunnel and those observation monitoring data which can be utilized in other similar geology project is a boon. Therefore, this thesis focuses on problem that has been encountered during excavation of solukhola dudh koshi hydroelectric project and squeezing assessment carried out from the parameter and data’s available during construction and recommend the rock mass parameter for shear zone. |
