| Abstract | The construction sector is of great importance to financial development as well as equally important from social value creation point of view. Globally, numerous construction projects have cost overruns, delays, and minimal financial rewards. Hence, the constant poor performance of the construction sector has been concerned as well as matter of priority to both construction academia and practitioners, seeking urgent pressure to improve performance. Contractual governance (CG) and relational governance (RG) are mainly two governance mechanisms, which have received global attention for their influence on project performance. CG consists of formal agreements between the parties, which bind them together by legal enforcements and structured responsibilities, whereas RG is informal agreement or practices between the stakeholders which foster trust among the participants, solidarity), sharing of words and information. This study assesses the implications of CG and RG on project execution successes in the Nepalese construction sector. The study's goal is to provide insights into enhancing project results through effective CG and RG. |
