| Abstract | This thesis explores the integration of design quality and risk management in the construction industry, with a particular focus on the Vietnamese market. The study aims to develop a comprehensive framework that addresses the gaps in current practices, which often fail to adequately integrate these two critical aspects. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining theoretical analysis with a case study of a Vietnamese construction project. Through interviews, document analysis, and field observations, the study identifies key challenges and best practices in managing design quality and risks. The findings reveal that inadequate risk management can significantly undermine design quality, leading to project delays, cost overruns, and stakeholder dissatisfaction. The proposed framework offers a structured approach to integrating risk management into the design process, ensuring better project outcomes. This study is especially useful for new developers, growing design consultancies, and those aiming to build tight quality and risk control processes. The research provides actionable insights that can be applied to enhance project performance and client satisfaction, contributing to the existing body of knowledge in construction management and offering practical solutions for improving the integration of design quality and risk management in the Vietnamese construction industry. |
