AbstractNowadays, Myanmar has attained proper infrastructure development to its extent which makes enable to the development of the construction industry and has a decent living decent for people. So, the construction new techniques and practices have been needed along with the positive aspects. In earlier days, international engineering managements are not familiar and have not been acknowledging well. Therefore, Myanmar Engineers used to the old times’ traditional methods for the projects even for the small- or large scale project. After all, the planning system has not been taken into consideration in real practices. In this case study, planning during construction will be made on the undergoing project which is Bituminous Macadam road. To do the main objectives, the methodology used is habitual and Myanmar traditional method to plan the whole schedule, cost and quality. The problem arises out from analyzing from the case study is mostly about the time problems during the construction stage. Thus, the schedule management plan is much needed to grow more reliable with the current local standards. So, the earned value method EVM is now introduced as the new proposed practice for the cost and time management. As per the actual process, this study proposed a complete framework for the developing project planning strategy for road projects. Moreover, some suggestions are told to better the performance in terms of earthwork, box culvert, bridge and pavement construction which can be found in this study.
