AbstractThis project report studied about construction planning and risk management in semi top-down construction method for building project. This semi top-down method is still so rare in Myanmar and one of the most risky and difficult works. Before implementing the project, we have to set the goal first. And then we try to get the goal with our established plan which are schedule plan, quality plan, safety plan, etc. We have to plan the project completion on time within budget with the high quality. So, planning is one of the most critical factors in managing of a project. Anyway, risk management is also important factor in project management. To reduce or avoid risks in this issue, it is important to study about identification of risk and assessment of risk and solving methods when planning and implementing basement construction. Even many projects have risk management system and project safety plan, risks are still occurred and even causing incident and accident. Therefore, experience and thoughts in risk management becomes more and more critical factor in project management.
