| Abstract | Myanmar is agricultural country and rural road infrastructure need to develop in regional level. The rural infrastructure is implemented by department of rural development before 2017, and after 2017 the Department of Rural Road Development under the Ministry of Construction continue rural road and bridges infrastructure. As for a developing country, ease of access and convenience of road plays a vital role for the development of economic, communication, trading, and transportation. Therefore, it is essential that better roads are constructed not only in the city but also in the outskirt and remote areas to ensure the balance in development. By developing rural road, the residents from rural area can utilize it to access the basic requirements like health, education, farming, and social affairs. Furthermore, export businesses via that road can provide direct market access with shorter time consumption. The project performance is based on good management which requires the relevant team to initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control, and close before, during and after the project cycle. Before, during and after the process, the performance can be measured by monitoring and controlling. The three important knowledge areas and management group are occurred in this report which are cost management, time management and quality management. The management process group are planning by base on the strategy of DRRD and investment plan and the executing is following regulation of 1/2017 tendering rules and DRRD regulation. In construction stage, the project time, cost and quality could be controlled and monitored. This report is to study of the theory of project management and project performance of rural road projects which are case (1) PaNga– KaRotePi– ANain Road, case (2) KyweChan– Ahlap Road, case (3) PhanPha–HtanPin Kone rural road and case (4) Kyaikhto– Kyaikkathar Road respectively. |
