| Abstract | This report is written for the road operated by the Highland Road Construction company under the Department of Highway, Taunggyi District using the B.O.T system. According to the terms of the B.O.T contract, the company was given 3 years to raise the road level to 48 feet wide, and the actual project took 4 years and 8 months. The project was 1 year and 8 months behind schedule. Using a bar chart, the department can check whether the project is behind schedule or ahead of schedule. This report is to study the delay analysis practice of the Meikhtila-Taunggyi-Kengtung-Tachileik Road road within the Taunggyi District, Southern Shan State is selected as a case study. This report aims to study and analyze the critical issues of delay analysis on B.O.T roads and to understand the misapprehension of management methods. It was observed that this project faced many unforeseen circumstances and was not able to complete on the original schedule. Nature of the work, Resource productivity, Management skill, Material and equipment availability, Seasonal conditions, Work restrictions, Quality of work, and Concurrent activities, these factors were the reasons behind the delay in the project. This information will be used in further projects. The findings from this report will be reviewed and better systems and oversight can be put in place to ensure the project is completed on time. |
