AbstractTechnological innovation has accelerated financial transactions, driving the global demand for digital payment all over the world including Nepal. The expanding payment landscape embraces various popular cashless ideas. Furthermore, the COVID-19 pandemic has amplified the digital payment industry's growth, with contactless real time payments being adopted as a public health measure. The present study sheds a light on the advancement of DPS in a developing country, Nepal. The dashboard is designed as a foundation offering a holistic perspective of the current state of DPS. The primary goal is to discover the key influential factors that significantly influence user’s behavioral intention for adopting digital methods of payment. A conceptual model is developed by the combination of the TAM and UTAUT models with added factors including trust, security, infrastructure, and cost. Quota sampling is used and a total of 200 targeted respondents are selected to conduct the research in which the participants answer the standardized online questionnaires. This study uses logistic regression to test the constructed hypotheses. Furthermore, exploratory data analysis is conducted which provides insights into the state of digital payment adoption in Nepal, including the level of adoption, popular payment methods, and usage patterns. The findings from the study indicates a consistent increase in the usage of digital payments in Nepal over time. Facilitating conditions and infrastructure are the factors identified as primary drivers of adoption of digital payments among other influencing factors. Everything considered, the study provides a clear understanding of adoption trends and influential factors affecting the digital payment systems in Nepal.
