AbstractTo find the interactions of irrigation, power and flood control in multi-purpose project are the subjects of this study. In this study, the monthly run-off data of SHIH-MEN Station in Taiwan (ROC) has been used, Some design hydrograph (by each return period) were assumed to calculate the capacity requirement for flood control at each maximum release level, and then under the concept of "priority" of each sector, we can solve some water resources problem. Such as how much land can be irrigated? How much electricity can be generated? This result is very useful for reservoir operation in future.
